Cookies and a Kitten

Image
We finally got the kitten we've been considering for months. Trent and Bobbie have an excess of kitties, so we helped them out by adopting one. We've named him Dusty, and have fallen head over heals for him in just a few hours. He's a very relaxed little guy and seemed very comfortable right out of the gates.  Sooty is coming around quickly,  but Georgia is throwing a fit. She'll come around eventually.  In the meantime,  Dusty will sleep, eat and poop in the laundry room until he's old enough to handle himself or the other cats get comfortable around him.  Also  I finally got to see Trent's 112 year old house that he's been working on for years. It is chalk full of character. A real charmer.

Gaming

Wanting to teach me how to play MTG Commander,  Jared has been actively kicking my ass with a deck he put together verses a basic pre-made deck he gave me. So far, he's won the first three games and I won the fourth.  By alot. Georgia is our audience and and referee.

Leaf Day

Hopefully,  we didn't do any psychological damage to Soots. Jared and I had fun.

Tucker's Day Out

I asked Tucker to send me pictures next time he went on a trail ride. Looks like a wonderful place.

Our Artist

Tucker continues to find time for art. And every now and again, I get a glimpse into his ever evolving work.

First Frost

Image
We had our first frost two nights ago, and it was a big one. Our two big trees had just started to turn yellow and still had all their leaves. The next day, they pulled a Whomping  Willow, and now it is time to rake. Meanwhile,  our other tree looks like it's still in the middle of summer.

A Surprise

I walked outside this afternoon and saw this beautiful kitty enjoying our backyard.  I went in for the pets, but they were not to be had. The very definition of scaredy-cat.
