I have no idea how many hours went into this blanket. Just, crocheting away the winter hours in front of the TV. It took me awhile to really get the hang of making the granny squares. It's so easy to miss a step here or there and then I would have to rip it back and redo it. Putting the squares together was intimidating at first, but that quickly got easy. I bought 90 large safety pins and ended up using the majority of them to hold the squares together while I crocheted the columns and then later, the rows.
After it was done, I laid it out to show Jared, and noticed that a square had come undone from its middle. I freaked out a little, but was able to salvage it. The blanket is in the linen closet and I'll bring it out for fall.
