Finally

Image
I've started Tucker's 2020 scrapbook.  I'm finally in a place where I'm fairly certain I  can handle it. It took me two hours to get myself organized and create 1 page.

Project

I was intensely frustrated putting this model together.  I had to take it apart twice, and broke it two places. Luckily, where it broke did not affect its function, and so turned out to be a satisfying project.

More Visiting

Image
It was short, but we had an especially good visit with Mary-Anne and Arnie and Stacy and Penny.

Summer Visit

Image
Mark had to spend another week in Winnipeg.  He visited on his way back to Calgary. It was very, very hot out. But, we managed to squeeze in a few hours outside.

Today's Backyard

Image
I did quite a bit of work in the yard today despite the heat. It was an incredibly beautiful evening.

Jared's New Room

Image
It was an emotional ride home from Edmonton today. It takes approximately 2 minutes for me to start missing my children.

More Rebuilding

Image
They got a lot done today and everyone is tired. The heat didn't help one bit. But, most of the windows are covered and the air conditioning is running.

Rebuilding

We finished cleaning up the old apartment this morning by 11:30. Tucker did the walk through and almost got a full pass but for holes in the drywall.  I then took Jared on a big grocery shopping trip, picked up lunch for everyone and then everyone (except for me) got to work on setting up the new place.

Cleaning

The movers arrived on time, and worked all day. It took them until 5:45, and they had to unload the first truck load before they could get the last of large items loaded and moved over to Tower A.  Todd arrived at bout 2pm and the kids unloaded what he brought up. The next day, July 6, we cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. That's how we spent our 27th anniversary.

The Move

Image
I drove up to Edmonton with kids on July 4. We stopped in Lloyd and seen Dale and Denis for a very short time. We got to the apartment in the late afternoon. I was tired, so I went straight to the hotel after dropping them off. We planned on getting an early start the next morning.

A Lake Walk

Image
I took a little drive out to the lake a few days ago to decompress.  We're preparing to move Jared to Edmonton and it has been stressful.  It was raining when I got there, but stopped shortly after I parked the car. There were a few people parked in front of the restaurant,  but the beach and trail were deserted. I was half expecting to see a deer because there are so many out there. And, I didn't get before oe appeared on the path. She was skittish and we looked at each other awhile trying to decide who had the right of way. I decided she did and turned around.
