Cleaning Wheat

 The weather has been warm, so Todd has been busy with cleaning wheat for seed. I borrowed an old lawn chair from Uncle's and joined him for a few hours. I'm always taken with old trucks, and there is no shortage of them at the farm. The one with the green, wooden truck bed is from the early 1950's and is my favourite. The Chevy is a beast from 1979 and the Dodge is 1967. All very useful in what I think is the complicated process of cleaning grain. The cleaner itself is an antique.  It's quite loud, dusty, and interesting.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
