Late Spring Ruminations

It is the perfect day for blogging a wee bit about the past several days. Yesterday, I got the yard looking it's finest by doing the trimming and mowing. Day before that it rained, and today it rained again, and is threatening more thundershowers this afternoon. And I'm tired. I worked hard yesterday to see the yard completed, but I think the real culprit of my fatigue is the ice cream cone I ate just before bed last night. I never sleep well on a full stomach, let alone a stomach full of sugar. Lesson learned? - Probably not. With the freshness of the rain and all of the blossoms on the lilacs, caragana and fruit trees, the air outside is intoxicating. You start to take a breath in through your nose, and when you catch the scent, don't want to stop inhaling. One could damn near explode their lungs with the desire.
