My Day-To-Day Photos

Even though we travelled pretty hard to make our way back home, we still managed to ourselves.  We stopped in at Watson Lake again for a stretch and the kiddos had some fun on the playground this time. We stopped at Tetsa for what were supposed to be the best cinnamon buns on the Alaska highway and they weren't lying.  Amazing. Messy and wonderful. We also got to visit with a doggo there.  Actually there were two, but I only got photos of the one.

There is not one picture from Lloyd here. I barely touched my phone while visiting which I suppose is a good thing, but I wish I had snapped a few photos. These are in no particular order... Re-learning to knit. It's always exciting to see the boats! The Marina beach. Jared spent a lot of time on his scooter on our trip and is now paying for it with a sore foot! Ticket to Ride, Suzanne's favourite. Beantrees Ice cream at the beach. Zip-lining on the beach. Jared was the only brave one. Kaitlynn was chasing these guys all over the beach. The Wednesday Regatta Bibeau Park Huge woodpeckers! Early morning walk. Harvested some broccoli on the day we returned. And a pumpkin! I continue to work on my knitting.

We wanted to leave early, and did, but for turned around by low tire pressure, so we ended up leaving in time which was 8am.  We're on our to Lloydminster today to visit Dale and Denis. Tomorrow we will head up to Cold Lake and spend a couple of days with Suzanne and Etienne. Suzanne has all sorts of activities planned for us. Them we'll head back to Lloyd for another night and head home on the 10th.   Day before yesterday we went out to Markowski's farm North of Margo and for the first tume in 12 years I got to see my Uncle Steven. They were celebrating their 25 year anniversary. We used the GPS to guide us and it took us down impassable roads. We figured it out, but when we got there, it was pouring rain. I got a picture of us waiting in the car, but I took no other photos, which I regret. But I had a grear time and it was nice to see him again. I miss my family. Passing Insinger. I daydreamed as a child that I would live in this church and have a pet elep...

I can't say what has kept me from keeping up with this blog the past month or so. Instagram and Snoopy Pop got in the way, but those are both pathetic excuses.  I just got lazy I guess.   Anyway, our summer has been gorgeous.  The weather has been uber-kind; with the winds being low, being outside has been so enjoyable.   Stay-cationing has been good, although we all missed traveling. We did take a day to go to Madge Lake and it worked out that Amy and Corey could meet us there.  Jared camped at Madge at the beginning of the summer and he really wanted to come back and show us the mini-golf course.  The beach and picnic area is lovely too, but it was far too chilly for a swim. We enjoyed a very relaxing day.   We got some giggles out of our experience on the very nicely kept course and I just have to mention that my little sister is looking awesome!  She has slimmed right down and looks so much healthier.
