Madge Lake

I can't say what has kept me from keeping up with this blog the past month or so. Instagram and Snoopy Pop got in the way, but those are both pathetic excuses.  I just got lazy I guess.
 
Anyway, our summer has been gorgeous.  The weather has been uber-kind; with the winds being low, being outside has been so enjoyable.
 
Stay-cationing has been good, although we all missed traveling. We did take a day to go to Madge Lake and it worked out that Amy and Corey could meet us there.  Jared camped at Madge at the beginning of the summer and he really wanted to come back and show us the mini-golf course.  The beach and picnic area is lovely too, but it was far too chilly for a swim. We enjoyed a very relaxing day.
 
We got some giggles out of our experience on the very nicely kept course and I just have to mention that my little sister is looking awesome!  She has slimmed right down and looks so much healthier. It is wonderful to see someone in my family take initiative and start taking care of themselves. It warms my heart.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
