Fall Fun

Just a few photos from around the house and yard to celebrated my favourite time of year.  Now, if only the weather would cooperate...

Gourds Galore

I took an afternoon and pushed my way around the gourd patch to see what surprises awaited me. I wasn't disappointed in the variety, and had a great time transforming the front door area and adding them to the fall décor inside.

Bear and The Garden

These two things together, Bear and my garden(s), give me so much joy. Bear has been slowing down as of late, a trend I hope to see improve when the weather truly cools. But he is over seven years old now, and his poor hips have been a problem his entire life.  That said, when he's out in the garden with me, he often acts like a puppy - rolling and frolicking in the grass, asking for belly rubs. Or, if I'm picking tomatoes, he gets very excited, tomatoes and peas are his two favourite things and you mustn't be picking and not sharing with doggo. He is not interested, though in transferring schools to be among more kids his own age. He's excited for high school where things will be normal. I  hope he has the same shift in attitude that Kaitlynn experienced.   Jared wasn't really looking overly forward to his overnight canoe trip, but he ended up having a really good time and is looking forward to his week-long camping trip in the Spring.   Our Fall has been a beautiful one. The mild temperatures, it's October 4th and we still haven't had a major frost,...
