Bear and The Garden

These two things together, Bear and my garden(s), give me so much joy. Bear has been slowing down as of late, a trend I hope to see improve when the weather truly cools. But he is over seven years old now, and his poor hips have been a problem his entire life.  That said, when he's out in the garden with me, he often acts like a puppy - rolling and frolicking in the grass, asking for belly rubs. Or, if I'm picking tomatoes, he gets very excited, tomatoes and peas are his two favourite things and you mustn't be picking and not sharing with doggo. It's better he sits and waits for you to hand it to him, or he'll help himself and clean off entire plants.

Leaves are just starting to turn and fall. I don't think they would be falling yet if it hadn't been such a dry year, but I just love when there are leaves on the ground, so I'm not complaining. Just as long as Fall takes it's time, and lingers on for 2 or even 3 months.
