Mark's Halloween

Image
If his numbers are correct, Mark had at least 130 kids at his door tonight. We had 6. Vogels with their 3, Quintons with 2 and little Zane Rusnak. It's quarter after 9, so I'm assuming we're done. I'm definitely jealous, but at least our car didn't get hit in a parking lot today.

A Long Awaited Visit and Halloween 2018

Image
I could hardly believe my eyes when Dale and Denis drove into our yard on Friday afternoon. Later that evening I was still in disbelief that I was visiting with Dale in my own living room. We had a great visit and even celebrated Denis's 77th birthday on Saturday with a steak dinner and an ice cream cake.  On Sunday morning they left, and it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon, so the kiddos went to the greenhouse to contribute to the Halloween display.

Yay and Oy

Back to harvest, and back to breakdowns. It seems like they can't go one day without a problem.

Happy Birthday Fred! We're all so happy to have spent another great, happy and healthy year with you.

Crazy Weeks

Since my Dad went into the hospital on August 30th, things have been a little nuts around here. As of today, Dad is still in the hospital and although he is physically healing, his mental health is in question.  Time will tell what happens there. A few days ago, Jared gave his neck a wrench and a couple of days after that, his right shoulder dropped and he is all of alignment.  I took him into the walk-in where they prescribed muscle relaxants and an x-ray.  We had to go to the lab the next morning, so we left in time to pick up Tim's and drop KK off at school.  Jared is helping her in with all the drinks. The bunny was by the apartments we parked in front of when we went to the hospital. We've named him Ivan the Invisible, not because we couldn't see him, but he didn't move when we got really close, and so we figured he thought we couldn't see him.  Goofy bunny. Another goofy animal made this post.  Sooty, you terrible but adorable cat.  ...

Happy !3!!!

It's final.  We officially have 2 teenagers in the house.  That was fast.  Does life ever slow down? Happy birthday to my little Monkey.  Even though you are now taller than I am, you will always be my little Monkey.  I love you so much.

Family Tree

Image
Amy is very suddenly on a family tree kick.  She discovered something quite interesting though.  My Grandmother Nettie Roebuck's parents were Peter and Ann Pacholko and they are buried at the Beaverdale Cemetery just north of Jedburgh. If that wasn't interesting enough, it turns out that Peter's parents immigrated with him and are also buried there. Theodore and Agatha Pacholko are there too!  So my Great Grandparents along with my Great Great Grandparents are buried very near by.  They would be Jared and Kaitlynn's Great Great Great Grandparents!!!
