A Long Awaited Visit and Halloween 2018

I could hardly believe my eyes when Dale and Denis drove into our yard on Friday afternoon. Later that evening I was still in disbelief that I was visiting with Dale in my own living room. We had a great visit and even celebrated Denis's 77th birthday on Saturday with a steak dinner and an ice cream cake. 
On Sunday morning they left, and it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon, so the kiddos went to the greenhouse to contribute to the Halloween display.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
