Cow Leak

Well, there has been enough nice weather in a row now that I am finally petering out. It feels as though I could sleep an entire day away. But lots of planting has been done, not finished, but a lot is in the ground.
June 5th is going to turn into June 28th in the blink of an eye at this rate. By then the weeds should be in full swing and I'll have my two helpers to keep the garden up to snuff. They did an awesome job weeding several places in the yard yesterday, even though it was uncomfortably hot out there.
Jared has been asking us everyday if we can check the mail. He is waiting on a fidget spinner, all the rage these days and it is being shipped from Honk Kong, so my little Monkey is having his patience tried.
At their last piano lesson, Iris borrowed Kaitlynn the music to both Les Miserables and The Phantom Of The Opera.  She has several songs she would like to learn over the summer. Yesterday she told me that she only played one note before starting to cry though, so that might be a problem.  These musicals sure do have a hold on her heart.
Todd and Glen finished seeding on May 31st, and Todd finally finished picking stones a day or maybe it was two days after.  Either way, he was extremely glad to put that job behind him for another year. Now it is just clean-up, spraying again in a week or so, and then a bit of a break.
We hope to get the shop resided this summer and also we would love to build our gazebo so that we could extend our outdoor season. We're fairly certain we will put it by the greenhouse where we can look out into the lovely perennial gardens. So far, it has been a very good year for the perennials.
Oh, and who can forget the funny thing that happened on Friday morning. Even if you wanted to, there are reminders all over the yard that cows had been through.  Poor Dick and Shirley had an early wake-up call and had to run out and gather up their herd. Luckily, there was no damage done, and we just had a good giggle over the rather goofy nature of cows and their sweet wee ones.
