Taming the Chickadees

A wee bit of patience and a whole lot of food goes a long way in making friends with the feathered folk. They come so close now. One even landed right in the pail I was carrying between my hands. What is it about gentle close encounters with wildlife that takes the breath away?

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
