Let the Holidays Begin!

The freezer is full of baking and the tree is hosting numerous gifts! Nearly every room in the house has a touch of this beautiful season. 
I love how cozy the house feels this time of the year. The feeling of love that emanates from under the tree in the form of gifts. These gifts are just the extras, of course - the icing on the cake of a year that has been filled with all the ins and outs, ups and downs of life. The gifts reflect the people we see in front of us every day, and tell them, "I've been paying attention to you. I see you, and I appreciate you."
I can't wait to see that warm feeling wash over everyone as they open their special packages and enjoy knowing that they are loved.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
