Getting the kids to come out to the garden isn't always the easiest task. There is, of course, always something else they'd rather be doing. But not only do I need their help at this busy time of year, I love having them outside with me. I was much the same way as a kid, as the years have gone by, what I thought was stupid hard work, has transformed into lovely memories and more importantly, a skill set and a desire to enjoy life through gardening. I hope it will transform into a gift for them one day as well.
