An Early Mother's Day
Forseeing that field work is going to be taking much of his time, Todd decided we would celebrate Mother's day a week early. We'll, that is just fine by me, because Mother's day means plants and I can hardly wait to fill up my greenhouse. So we went to BP's for some lunch and then to the greenhouses. I got all my stuff at Skinner's. I just can't help but be loyal to him after his kindness to me a couple of years ago when he gave me such an incredible on plants after nine died.
This year was a tough one having lost so many seedlings to what I'm fairly certain was bad soil. I'll not be buying Miracle Grow again. So it sure was nice to bring all those plants home and today I am enjoying my greenhouse to the fullest.
The weather is so beautiful today that Todd and I (and Bear) went out before breakfast to get a load of rocks. We were home by 7:30, the kids weren't even stirring yet. But we'll get them to help with a load later and we'll take the trailer.
You know it's perfect weather, because KK is out hoping to share a couple gophers.
