Harvest Beginnings

Harvest has now officially started because I had dinner in the field with Todd. It turned into a 2 and a half hour affair when I had to drive him out to help Glen who is harvesting the peas and trying to operate the new straight-cut header.  It's not going very well for him.  Hopefully he catches on before he causes any major, expensive damage.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
