A Calm Day
With all the leftovers from Easter Sumday, it makes sense to extend our holiday and our feasting by at least another day. After another delightful lunch, the kiddos and I went out to enjoy a beautiful, rare, early Spring day.
It was taking Boots too much effort to keep up because, Kaitlynn says, "His legs are too short." So, she helped him out by giving him a much appreciated lift.
We moseyed around all over the yard, checking out what's coming up in the gardens and visiting the various sites in the yard. The old vehicle graveyard is always on the list of places to go when walking about the farm. Just like their Dad, the kids imagine fixing up the various vehicles, many of which are beyond our skill to repair.
We wrapped up our evening with a campfire, the first of the season. Unfortunately, the wind came up and it got a bit too cold for comfort, but we did manage to steal a couple of hours out there.
