I Don't Know Where April Went
May has arrived, and it's been nearly a month since I last posted here. Life hasn't been easy lately, but losing nearly an entire month seems unlikely and unreasonable. The weather has been decent lately, and that has me feeling a little better. I especially love my long morning walks with Bear before breakfast. Often, that's when it's the most peaceful outside, low winds, hardly any vehicles making noise on the roads. Quiet. Also, I've been in my greenhouse lately and that is another of solitude for me. I made it even better by adding a little place to have tea. I don't know why I didn't think of that sooner. A few crocuses are up in the garden, along with a gazillion daylilies. I really have to start finding new homes for them. I had my first wood tick yesterday. Disgusting. Field work has started on the farm, and I will try not to let that add to the stress of the current situation. Just day by day, one foot in front of the other. I'm beginning to understand why teachers used to favour yardsticks to keep the kids on task. I really miss school.
