A Round-Up

The nice weather had us doing a bit of early yard clean-up day before yesterday.  There is a lot of gravel in the ditch along the road where we usually mow, so there's Todd raking it into piles which will be gathered up later with the tractor.

 

Jared took a wee walk about the yard with me and we had some fun.



 
I met Ang and Amy at Sweet Wanderings for a belated birthday lunch on the 31st. It was a nice treat.

 

An afternoon walk showed us that the geese are back in all their impressive numbers. 


 
And last but not least, last night we finally watched Forest Gump as a family. "Beautiful and life changing," said KK.  Jared- "That was just great!" It was wonderful to be able to share this old favourite of ours with our kids.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
