Another Get Together

The day started out with the hatching of babies. What do they do with the shells? The first photo was taken at around 10am and the second, this evening at around 9pm.

The weather was promising to be perfect today, and it held out. So we had our family weiner roast.

There was a shit-ton of flies this morning, so we jiggered up our own citronella candles and by the time we went out, it was quite clear of pests.

Jared went to the farm for a bit where they worked on the roof a little more. Grandpa may have taken a ride in the bucket of the tractor. Oy.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
