In the midst of the chaos of our getting ready to leave, we stopped to celebrate Fred and Diane's anniversary. It was a wonderful mid afternoon do with great food. I ate plenty and enough energy to power me through a very busy evening.
It has been a very long time since I have felt the desire to make a cake. In fact, I have thought many times that I would never do it again. Yet, here we are. Actually, I would like to do another one.
I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd. Somehow, we missed each other while the truck was still inside, and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though. Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
Happy Father's Day to two of the best men I've ever known. We all love and appreciate you more than you will ever know. Cliche? Yes, but entirely true.
