A Exceptional Find
It was a cold morning. Cold for June that is. Five degrees with a fairly strong wind that made it feel barely above freezing. But determined to start my day out with a positive, I slapped my headphones on, and out I went. There were even a few raindrops, but the fresh air was energizing. Of course, Bear enjoys walking in cooler weather far more than the heat. We were out for a lot longer than we normally would because Bob and Bruce stopped for a chat and then Bob stopped again after dropping Bruce off.
The highlight of this walk were the Lady's Slippers. I haven't seen them in years, so it was a special sighting. These are considered a rare flower, so this a noteworthy glimpse of an uncommon plant.
