All In Good Fun

Piano practice has taken a serious turn.  Jared is bad for starting and then promptly restarting his pieces.  In this case, he is working on his scales, so the fly swatter is to encourage him to think before he starts.  Now, before you go calling Social Services, it's a joke.  Yes, he's been tapped, and he's giggled each time.  I'm fairly certain he thinks it fun, and yet, it seems to be working.

Had a bit of a rough start this morning, but was feeling much better shortly before lunch.  Todd and I enjoyed a nice lunch at Brown's and then for the first time in a long while, I helped with the grocery shopping.  After that, it was off to my massage which really helps with that stiff neck.  "Stiffnicitous" as my Mom used to say.  Although that word was usually used by someone who was acting snobby.  They had a stiff neck see, and therefore couldn't so much as turn their head to look at a person.  It was a polite way, (kinda) of calling them a big jerk.  I'm not too sure on that spelling though.  Google doesn't bring up anything so I'm quite certain it was a word unique to my household.  We had a lot of those actually, and every now and then one pops into my head.

The plans for the evening include piano, showers for my smelly children, and then nachos with a show of some sort.  We just received an email saying that all rural busses are cancelled tomorrow, so we will be driving the kiddos to school ourselves. But Kaitlynn wouldn't even dream of missing school, so hopefully the roads are okay.  The wind is pretty wicked out there this evening. It's supposed to warm by Friday though and then be really Saturday and for quite while after, so Bear and I will be happy together again.  Yay!  I can't wait to be able to go for a walk everyday.
