An Early Spring Cleaning

It's gorgeous out there! Shop and garage doors are open. Todd disappeared with the tractor. Bear has himself stretched out in the snow, trying to cool himself down.  It is still below zero, but barely and the forecast is for five degrees above for the next two days.
After going through some books at Uncle's house, we brought home quite a few and so that inspired us to sort through some of our own. I am quite tempted to keep some of these baby books, but like Todd said, they are better off in circulation rather than being stored for goodness knows how many years in the garage, and then becoming too musty to actually be of any use.  I can get rid of the books without getting rid of the memories, so I took a few photos of the ones we read pretty much on a daily basis to the kidlets.

Piles and piles of books to be given away.  Brenda will have a lot to chose from!

"My Big Bright World" and "Animal Crackers" were in the nursery before KK was born and they both seen a lot
of use, but they are still in good enough shape to be enjoyed again.  Both kids enjoyed "The Best Mouse Cookie"
but it was one of Jared's all time favourites.

This was a set of three.  Missing is "Crazy Caterpillars." But I still don't need to see it to remember most of
the words in that book, we read them so often.

More favourites.  I actually got tired of reading "Finding Memo." I may have even begged our daughter not to make
me read to her again. "Good Night Blue" was one of my favourites - gosh how I loved Blue Puppy!

I always had to ask the kids, especially Jared to stop clicking the crickets so that I could get through the book.  The Pooh
one is actually musical and someone is going to be delighted to find it still works and sounds lovely.

Kaitlynn's favourite for a very long time was "Where's That Fish." And we had more Dino books than you could
shake stick at!

Jared loved "Easter Bugs," but I wouldn't let him play with it unsupervised because it such a delicate and adorable
Pop-up book.  It's still in awesome condition.
