A Much Needed Break

Yesterday was another very long day of being stuck in the house.  Busses were not running and the temperatures hovered around -45C with the wind-chill. But it ended well, with a roasted duck dinner and a birthday cake for Glen. He's 47 years old now and is trying life on this own in Uncle's house. Mom continues to go through stuff bit by bit and we are helping where we can.  Today we cleaned out the little freezer and took home what we could for Bear, the rest we will haul to Jedburgh.  We also went through a pile of books and brought many home - some for each of us.

The busses also didn't run this morning and so Todd took Kaitlynn in.  I got a pretty, cheerful bouquet out of the deal.

And finally, the highlight of my day was getting out for a good long walk.  I spent a total of 1 1/2 hours out there all at once!  It felt so very refreshing and it revitalised me. Hallelujah for nice weather, and the forecast is looking very good for the next couple of weeks, even a couple of above zero days.
