A Winter's Evening

All the house cleaning and purging finally lead me to recover the cushions on the couches downstairs. Well, actually we got rid of the hideous ones that came with the trio and I redecorated with some much better quality ones.  Todd helped picked out the fabrics, actually he mostly did it himself, and they work very nicely. Mostly though, Todd has been working to get his shop organized.

We were also given a very old plaid wool blanket that belonged to Great Grandma Ostapovitch.  Todd was reminded of Uncle's house, so although it was very worn, I was able to find a decent section large enough to create a man-sized pillow for him. Somehow, I'm the one leaning on it this evening though. Jared used the scraps to make matching scarves for himself and Georgia.

While Kaitlynn had a very busy day of homework and volunteer hours to fill, Jared had a very relaxing day. Playing "Geometry Dash", watching "Invader Zim" and reading "Dilbert" are all things that are high on his priority list for a day off well spent. Against his will, but really not all that much, he did get a haircut.

Our evening is being spent exactly how we like it.  Todd and I love showing the kids a movie that has been a favourite of ours for years, in this case "Contact" starring Jodi Foster.
