Baby Blackbirds

On May 31st, the Brewer's Blackbird's eggs hatched! We know have at least 14 babies in the yard that are being taken care of by overprotective parents!  They just don't trust us to get anywhere close to their nests. They chirp like crazy and sometimes even fly overtop of our heads.

Truck Rides

 I was feeling low, so I headed out to the elevator to ride with Todd.  Somehow,  we missed each other while the truck was still inside,  and he drove off without me. I caught him in the parking lot, though.  Most of the snow has melted. The countryside is in a dreary state, but it's exciting to know that the green is coming soon. I expected to see more water standing and running in the ditches, but it's already gone.
