I've made a few of the gifts we're giving put for Christmas this year, toques, a scarf - freshly learned knitting projects. A scrapbook o. Owen's graduation day was the lengthier project. I do hope they like it.
We've watched it grow and now it's complete. I've scanned it in and sent it off to a few select friends. It is just wonderful the talents Kaitlynn has developed.
It's always wonderful to hear that there is a drawing option for an assignment in one of Kaitlynn's classes. In ELA, they've read "To Kill A Mockingbird," and now a short graphic novel is to be created on the points that most stand out to the students. She is creating a piece of art that makes me shiver, I love it.
Firefly- The Board game has become our favourite. We played a lot of Cities and Knights before this and had a lot of fun with that expansion. Firefly was a bit of a challenge to learn, and we hope we're playing it correctly, but now it's nearly the only the game we feel like playing. So far, I've won 3 games, Todd has 2 wins and Jared has yet to succeed.
The sound of my kiddos laughing together fills me with joy and a sense that all is right in the world. They are in the middle of creating with Photoshop...a muscular kidney bean. Maybe I'll be able to add the result in a later post.
