My best friend created a snow person in Fish Creek for me. Wonderful.

Progress Report

Well, the flooring is completely done in 2 2 rooms,  mine and Todd's.  We hope to get Jared's room done today.

Change of Plans

After seeing the brick tile in the laundry room, we thought we might want it in the pantry as well, as more of a contrast to the wooden shelves we're putting in there. Then, Todd suggested we try it in the kitchen and low and behold, we loved it. So, change of plans. The closet isn't done yet, but we've got the trim up in Todd's room, and it looks incredible.

Renos

We've been putting in a lot of time at the farm. Mostly we've been working on the floors upstairs,  but we've also been cleaning up and taking things out to the C-can. I cleaned up the backyard in town and Todd took a bunch of my garden stuff to the farm. So, the ove has officially begun.  Todd also put up a shelter on the front porch so we can cut the flooring in relative comfort.

Edmonton Nov 2025

This was our best trip to Edmonton yet. We got to see Owen perform live, and they did an incredible job. We enjoyed it o much, we stay for the other 3 bands. The next day, we saw Tyler perform as part of a jazz trio at a little cafĂ©.  It was the complete opposite of what we experienced at the Dive Bar, but every bit as wonderful. These kids have talent and drive and I can't wait to see where it takes them. Then, we visited the university with Tucker and he showed us the welding room and his first sculpture. We got a crash course in silk screening and it is far more involved than I thought. Tucker had his own cubby for painting this year, so we checked that out and he's got some great pieces. I also did a bunch of cooking for the kids and filled up their little upright freezer.

Calgary Nov 2025

We had a fantastic time in Calgary.  Laura took us the Bow Valley Ranch restaurant in  Fish Creek, and it was delightful.  They even went out of their way to create a special chocolate martini for me. We went for a walk before our meal and for the first time, I got to see a beaver swim under water.   I gave Laura the gargantuan blanket I made for her. She, and the kitties loved it immediately.
